Welcome to Ukiah

Just up the road from Sonoma County, you’ll find Ukiah, the County Seat and economic hub for Mendocino County. Though the Ukiah Valley is fairly compact and the population of the actual town is rather small, daily the town fills with residents of the smaller surrounding communities such as Redwood Valley and Potter Valley, doubling the population on certain days.

The Ukiah Valley once was filled with pear orchards and has always been an agricultural valley. Now the majority of the agricultural land is planted in vineyards, with a few remaining pear orchards interspersed. Though the cash crop of cannabis has always been present and a part of the culture in Mendocino County and Ukiah, now the area sees a new influx of business under the new regulations set forth by the State and Local Governments as well. Development of the Ukiah Valley is at an all-time high, with the construction of Costco as well as several other large projects, the area is ripe with potential.

The Valley has many different areas from the quaint, peaceful park-like setting of the westside to the eastern hills with views spanning the entire valley. Ukiah’s dynamic landscape and sense of community continue to draw new people to the area to discover for themselves all Ukiah has to offer.
